2010
Another thing I love, as well as knitting, is travelling and getting to see the fabulous wool shops and yarn selections available.
The Baltic cruise started in Copenhagen another favourite venue of mine, chance for a trip to Marianne Isagers shop and also to Sommerfuglen an awesome yarn store run beautifully by the clever Dittethe best linen in the world is here.
We sailed from Copenhagen up to Rostock, statues in a beautiful City on a very hot day.
On to Tallin, where a folk festival was in place. There are many reasons I could go back to Tallin and spend a long time there.
Being in St Petesburg, was a great thrill and a wonderful city with history everywhere.
Stockholm,I love Stockholm and went straight to my favourite part in Gamla Stan I was only here for a day so had to do my stash shopping very quickly.Sailing through the many small islands as we left.
Helsinki, and a trip to Melitttas near the museum was a good visit.
Then to Kiel where Nigel found the Medical and Pharmaceutical museum which he enjoyedwhilst I felt very sad that a beautiful pair of shoes seen through a closed shop window would be staying in Kiel.
Back to Copenhagen. The knitting group were enthusiastic and enjoying all the classes Chris Bylsma and I offered as we sailed the Baltic.

The lady here Anna is a master dyer
and had many examples of her craftsmanship. Well worth a visit.
visited here again this year,I love Gamla Stan the atmosphere of the whole area is great.
I first came across Ullcentrum at the Birmingham show so it was lovely to meet up at the shop. Could not resist the linens here

Here at Sticka the first shop I visited we exchanged knitting ideas and I succumbed to the tempting array of fabulous yarns.
